Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Sohodolu CSS's Claudiu Trifu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ionel Calomfirescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Herculian's zone, Radu Roşoga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihail Bungescu came out of the goal and Radu Roşoga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herculian's goalkeeper Mihail Bungescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Herculian's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Roşoga came free, but Mihail Bungescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Radu Roşoga fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sohodolu CSS's protests and gave Radu Roşoga a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Sohodolu CSS got a freekick which was hit by Radu Roşoga. Ionel Calomfirescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Octav Manciulea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Claudiu Trifu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sohodolu CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herculian the free kick. In the 31st minute Radu Roşoga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Bungescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihail Bungescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Roşoga, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Radu Roşoga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihail Bungescu. Herculian's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radu Roşoga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Herculian's Mihail Bungescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Trifu in the 39th minute of play. If Radu Roşoga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Tremurici stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octav Manciulea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Tremurici in the 52nd minute of play. Sohodolu CSS's Octav Manciulea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Calomfirescu in the 53rd minute of play. Radu Roşoga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mihail Bungescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Herculian's Grigore Bilașco got a free kick in the 59th minute. Herculian's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Claudiu Trifu scored to the left of an out of position Mihail Bungescu, making the score, 0-2. Mihail Bungescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Trifu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With a little luck, Herculian's Mihail Bungescu got control of the ball when Radu Roşoga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Radu Roşoga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Bungescu having to interfere. Claudiu Trifu struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Mihail Bungescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sohodolu CSS. Mihail Bungescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Trifu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Mihail Bungescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudiu Trifu went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudiu Trifu in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihail Bungescu saved Herculian from getting behind. Marius Morar kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Radu Roşoga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Claudiu Trifu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Bungescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurențiu Finteșteanu's late challenge caught a Herculian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurențiu Finteșteanu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Herculian booed when Sohodolu CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Finteșteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ionel Calomfirescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Octav Manciulea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Radu Roşoga came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sohodolu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radu Roşoga couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Sohodolu CSS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Herculian throughout the match.
