In the 3rd minute, Nichifor Hidișan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Gheban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Bocșa having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Romeo Şimonca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferestrau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galactic Iasi the free kick. A collision led to Ferestrau getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Romeo Şimonca hit a great ball. After 9 minutes of play Ferestrau's Romeo Şimonca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 9th minute, Romeo Şimonca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rareș Drăgănoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Bocșa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Basarab Şuplăcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferestrau's supporters rose to their feet, but Basarab Şuplăcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Ţirpe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicu Bocșa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Fabian Gheban sent off a good shot on target. Galactic Iasi's Robert Ţirpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Hidișan in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Ferestrau's Nicu Bocșa got control of the ball when Fabian Gheban tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Daniel Brăiloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Rareș Drăgănoiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicu Bocșa. That made the score 1-0 in the 39 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Gheban got free with Nicu Bocșa in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Ferestrau:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galactic Iasi:s goal. The goalkeeper, Nicu Bocșa, was totally fooled by Galactic Iasi's Dumitru Nanu, who 49 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

In the 59th minute, Ion Geoană hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rareș Drăgănoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nicu Bocșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galactic Iasi's goalkeeper Robert Ţirpe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rareș Drăgănoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Valer Oloieru fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferestrau's protests and gave Valer Oloieru a yellow card for diving instead. Aron Coposu kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Fabian Gheban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nicu Bocșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Basarab Şuplăcan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a rather tough play, Ferestrau's Basarab Şuplăcan got a free kick in the 80th minute. Nicu Bocșa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Drăgănoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Rareș Drăgănoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nicu Bocșa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Gheban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Gheban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Galactic Iasi had won after a very even match.
