Claudiu Mâinea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Drăgănoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grigore Filipoiu got free with Robert Ţirpe in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Grigore Filipoiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Robert Ţirpe, 2-0. Grigore Filipoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Galactic Iasi's Robert Ţirpe got control of the ball when Augustin Racoviță tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37thth minute of the game Grigore Filipoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galactic Iasi's Robert Ţirpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Rogerius Oradea's Augustin Racoviță got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, one of Galactic Iasi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galactic Iasi. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, FC Rogerius Oradea's Pompiliu Bucuță got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Robert Ţirpe. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Grigore Filipoiu made the kick off in the second half. Fabian Gheban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Claudiu Mâinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rareș Drăgănoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudiu Mâinea having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play, FC Rogerius Oradea's Grigore Filipoiu made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Ţirpe was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Rogerius Oradea booed when Galactic Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Berechet didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Augustin Racoviță came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC Rogerius Oradea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Racoviță couldn't finish the play. Augustin Racoviță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Ţirpe having to make a save. After 90 played minutes, FC Rogerius Oradea's Iulian Avram shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robert Ţirpe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Rogerius Oradea reached it. Robert Ţirpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Racoviță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Rogerius Oradea had won after a very even match.
