Mihail Bungescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basarab Şuplăcan's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Nicu Bocșa came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Herculian's Ionel Calomfirescu. But to his dismay, Ionel Calomfirescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Herculian's Ionel Calomfirescu in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ferestrau's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ionel Calomfirescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Nicu Bocșa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 74 minutes, Iulian Isaicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herculian and the Ferestrau players grew even worse after the yellow card.
