Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Leicester City's Costică Lupșoiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Cosmin Măguran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Chivu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vali Florescu kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leicester City's zone, Doru Ciurea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 陈枫适 came out of the goal and Doru Ciurea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doru Ciurea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 陈枫适 having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Eusebiu Damian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Cristi Astafei fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hagilar's protests and gave Cristi Astafei a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Leicester City booed when Hagilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Astafei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosmin Măguran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costică Lupșoiu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rareș Chivu saved Hagilar from getting behind. Rareș Chivu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Măguran, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Costică Lupșoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Chivu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Măguran in the 40th minute of play forced Hagilar's goalkeeper Rareș Chivu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Hagilar's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Lupșoiu came free, but Rareș Chivu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costică Lupșoiu in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rareș Chivu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doru Ciurea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebiu Damian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusebiu Damian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. 陈枫适 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Hagilar got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Romaşcanu. Costică Lupșoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Costică Lupșoiu took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Rareș Chivu to make any attempt to save it. Cosmin Măguran struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Rareș Chivu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leicester City. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosmin Măguran got free with Rareș Chivu in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 73 played minutes Costică Lupșoiu rounded Hagilar's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 77th minute, Mădălin Romaşcanu made a precise shot to the right of 陈枫适. Leicester City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hagilar's goalkeeper Rareș Chivu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rareș Chivu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Lupșoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88thth minute of the game Costică Lupșoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hagilar's Rareș Chivu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Leicester City's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Ciurea came free, but 陈枫适 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mădălin Romaşcanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Leicester City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hagilar:s goal. The referee gave Hagilar a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gavril Jurcuț, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Leicester City's 陈枫适. 2-3. Leicester City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
