Emanuel Bărbânță hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Leicester City got a corner. Traparauta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandru Sădeanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Traparauta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Horodincă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihnea Calciu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 陈枫适 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Traparauta's zone, Cosmin Măguran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Vătafu came out of the goal and Cosmin Măguran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ioan Horodincă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. 陈枫适 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Costică Lupșoiu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Petru Vătafu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cosmin Măguran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costică Lupșoiu ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Traparauta getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Daniel Avacariței hit a great ball. Costică Lupșoiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petru Vătafu having to make a save. Nicodim Rădoi's late challenge caught a Traparauta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodim Rădoi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Ioan Horodincă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Traparauta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
