The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rareș Chivu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Marin in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Marin in the 5th minute of play forced Hagilar's goalkeeper Rareș Chivu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandu Cosor kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Petru Râmniceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dynamo Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Râmniceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Chivu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicu Alamaru kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Hagilar getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Andrei Steriopol hit a great ball. Rareș Chivu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Râmniceanu in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of Dynamo Bucuresti booed when Hagilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Romaşcanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petru Râmniceanu struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Rareș Chivu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dynamo Bucuresti. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hagilar! Rareș Chivu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Râmniceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Rareș Chivu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Marin in the 35th minute of play. Nichifor Achiriloaie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Damian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nichifor Achiriloaie made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Doru Ciurea sent off a good shot on target. After 45 minutes of play, Hagilar's Gavril Jurcuț made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nichifor Achiriloaie was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebiu Damian to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Eusebiu Damian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nichifor Achiriloaie was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After 58 played minutes Dynamo Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Damian Orghidan. If Doru Ciurea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. In the 83rd minute, Dynamo Bucuresti's Ionel Marin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With a little luck, Hagilar's Rareș Chivu got control of the ball when Petru Râmniceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Dynamo Bucuresti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Hagilar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
