If Mihăiţă Duca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristinel Herescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Atodiresei in the 8th minute of the match. Alexandru Sima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Purcărete having to interfere. With 17 minutes on the clock, Răzvan Irod commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Galin! The goalkeeper, Lucian Purcărete, was totally fooled by FC. Sălăjeni 1997's Damian Sădeanu, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Francisc Atodiresei came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Galin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisc Atodiresei couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Francisc Atodiresei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galin's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisc Atodiresei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristinel Herescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Atodiresei in the 26th minute of play forced FC. Sălăjeni 1997's goalkeeper Cristinel Herescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Matei Caramitru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sălăjeni 1997's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Atodiresei came free, but Cristinel Herescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, one of Galin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galin. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for FC. Sălăjeni 1997. Damian Sădeanu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lucian Purcărete. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Francisc Atodiresei made the kick off in the second half. Cristinel Herescu came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Galin's Francisc Atodiresei. But to his dismay, Francisc Atodiresei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cristinel Meleșcanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisc Atodiresei struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Cristinel Herescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galin. Matei Caramitru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisc Atodiresei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cristinel Herescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisc Atodiresei succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. If Mihăiţă Duca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Galin's Francisc Atodiresei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristinel Herescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihăiţă Duca in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucian Purcărete saved Galin from getting behind. Galin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
