Dorel Cucerdean charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorel Cucerdean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dorel Cucerdean kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Emil Enachescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Avram Ghișe. Plesa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Panait Gavruță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lucian Purcărete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aron Caramitru during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petruț Miniș hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aron Caramitru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Francisc Atodiresei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Ghișe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Galin's zone, Liviu Cristoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucian Purcărete came out of the goal and Liviu Cristoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panait Gavruță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucian Purcărete read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Plesa's Avram Ghișe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Meleșcanu in the 59th minute of play. Octav Tarcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dorel Cucerdean was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Galin booed when Plesa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorel Cucerdean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octav Tarcu took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucian Purcărete. Lucian Purcărete dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Avram Ghișe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisc Atodiresei, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Plesa getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Panait Gavruță hit a great ball. Avram Ghișe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Caramitru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Avram Ghișe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Caramitru in the 78th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Francisc Atodiresei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Ghișe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avram Ghișe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Atodiresei in the 90th minute of play. Matei Caramitru hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Galin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Plesa's performance. The match ended with a win for Plesa.
