A nice corner shot did that Lucrețiu Cârju got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Narcis Bădila quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Octavian Tăutu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Bădila having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Adrian Buligan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narcis Bădila. AS PODARI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Buligan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marin Siniştean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Petrea having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Adrian Buligan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Buligan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narcis Bădila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petrică Ţirpescu during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th minute of the match Denis Gheție shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusebiu Petrea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Cucerdean in the 37th minute of play forced AS PODARI's goalkeeper Narcis Bădila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Remus Cucerdean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narcis Bădila was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Adrian Buligan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Remus Cucerdean put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Narcis Bădila. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remus Cucerdean made a kick off. Narcis Bădila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Cucerdean in the 54th minute of play. Eusebiu Petrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Liciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Narcis Bădila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Cucerdean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Liciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 68 minutes into the match, Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Gologan came free, but Eusebiu Petrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Remus Cucerdean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Narcis Bădila. Remus Cucerdean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Narcis Bădila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Cucerdean in the 73rd minute of play. If Marin Siniştean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Craiova's Narcis Bădila threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Remus Cucerdean, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 79th minute, Emilian Liciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Buligan in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narcis Bădila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 minutes AS PODARI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristian Topală who took care of the corner kick. In the 89th minute, Cristian Topală hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marin Siniştean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebiu Petrea having to interfere.
