Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mircea Diaconu charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mircea Diaconu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Delutu booed when FC Ciresica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Diaconu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilie Itoafă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Velicu in the 22nd minute of play. Ilie Itoafă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Velicu in the 24th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Ciresica booed when Delutu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Maiorescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gelu Tatu made a kick off. A collision led to Delutu getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aurelian Corlățean hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ciresica's goalkeeper Octavian Gârleanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Gelu Tatu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Delutu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Tatu couldn't finish the play. Octavian Gârleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Maiorescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute, Traian Velicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ciresica's goalkeeper Octavian Gârleanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Mihai Maiorescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delutu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihai Maiorescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
