SOFYA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Martinaș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manole Chioreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinu Morovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eric Ciulei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Ciulei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pompiliu Spiridon in the 24th minute. Dinu Morovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristide Bobariu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Emilian Vrejiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ciprian Burtescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pompiliu Spiridon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Traian Grădinaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ciprian Burtescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugen Pascu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Eric Ciulei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Martinaș went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute Pompiliu Spiridon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Ciulei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pompiliu Spiridon came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the F.C. SOFYA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pompiliu Spiridon couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute Pompiliu Spiridon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Ciulei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Emilian Vrejiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botiz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. SOFYA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Botiz's Emilian Vrejiu got a free kick in the 86th minute. Botiz's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because F.C. SOFYA had won, even though Botiz had held more of the ball.
