Spectators: 5880 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) FC Ciresica's Traian Velicu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. AC Seini's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Traian Velicu scored to the left of an out of position Mihai Gherdan, making the score, 1-0. Marian Mateescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihai Gherdan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marian Mateescu ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gheorghe Istrate came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the AC Seini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gheorghe Istrate couldn't finish the play. Gheorghe Istrate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Octavian Gârleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Istrate in the 25th minute of play forced FC Ciresica's goalkeeper Octavian Gârleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Gârleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Jucu in the 39th minute of play. After 41 played minutes FC Ciresica got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Bădilescu. Adam Panțâru hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gheorghe Istrate to make the kick off. Octavian Gârleanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavel Jucu in the 55th minute. Pavel Jucu struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Octavian Gârleanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Seini. Octavian Gârleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Istrate in the 67th minute of play. When Gheorghe Istrate came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the AC Seini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gheorghe Istrate couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FC Ciresica getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sorin Bădilescu hit a great ball. After 74 played minutes FC Ciresica got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Bădilescu. Octavian Gârleanu came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Seini's Pavel Jucu. But to his dismay, Pavel Jucu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mihai Gherdan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Dumitrache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
