Octavian Gârleanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Tomoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gheorghe Mateescu came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Borussia Buzău fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gheorghe Mateescu couldn't finish the play. Ştefan Costandache who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Octavian Gârleanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Octavian Gârleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Costandache in the 71st minute of the match. If Traian Velicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Costandache in the 74th minute of play forced FC Ciresica's goalkeeper Octavian Gârleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Dumitrache struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Liviu Săvoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ciresica. If Nicolae Dumitrache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Borussia Buzău getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Anton Tomoiu hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Borussia Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Velicu came free, but Liviu Săvoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Borussia Buzău had won after a very even match.
