But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iurie Coșeriu couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Luțu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Coșeriu in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Jigoreasa's Mihnea Ciobanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornel Grozăvescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sebastian Baldazar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Baldazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Grozăvescu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Ciobanu in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornel Grozăvescu saved SErioXul from getting behind. Cornel Grozăvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Baldazar in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jigoreasa's Sebastian Baldazar got a free kick in the 30th minute. Mihnea Ciobanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cornel Grozăvescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornel Grozăvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Baldazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th match minute, Jigoreasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Nițu to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Sebastian Baldazar notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SErioXul's Cornel Grozăvescu. Cornel Grozăvescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Jigoreasa's Sebastian Baldazar got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornel Grozăvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Ciobanu in the 54th minute of the match. Sebastian Baldazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornel Grozăvescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Remus Rânceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Luțu having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Cornel Onitiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihnea Ciobanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornel Grozăvescu having to make a save. In the 70th minute, Remus Rânceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mihnea Ciobanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SErioXul booed when Jigoreasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Urducea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SErioXul's Maxim Scripcaru got a free kick in the 78th minute. Cornel Grozăvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Ciobanu in the 79th minute of the match. Cornel Grozăvescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihnea Ciobanu went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Sebastian Baldazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Cornel Grozăvescu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, SErioXul's Maxim Scripcaru got a free kick in the 91st minute. SErioXul's Maxim Scripcaru got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Maxim Scripcaru off the ground. In the 95th minute, Maxim Scripcaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornel Grozăvescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dragoş Vulpăşin.
