If Lucrețiu Băncilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manole Hârlab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Şumălan in the 13th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DOBRA Light! The referee gave Dragonul a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Vintilă, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of DOBRA Light's Lucian Ionițoiu. 0-1. In the 21st minute, Mihnea Şumălan made a precise shot to the right of Manole Hârlab. Dragonul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 25th minute, Emilian Troncotă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dragonul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 32 minutes into the game, Lucrețiu Băncilă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Manole Hârlab was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mihnea Şumălan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Manole Hârlab managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when DOBRA Light's Lucrețiu Băncilă fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lucrețiu Băncilă struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Manole Hârlab didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DOBRA Light. Manole Hârlab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Şumălan in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihnea Şumălan made a kick off. Lucian Ionițoiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emilian Troncotă went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Mihnea Şumălan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Manole Hârlab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Dragonul's goal looked a bit too open when Mihnea Şumălan came free, but Manole Hârlab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ernest Axinia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute of the match, Irinel Cobzeanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lucian Ionițoiu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Horia Jupân charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horia Jupân the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Horia Jupân hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Şumălan in the 78th minute of play forced Dragonul's goalkeeper Manole Hârlab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes, Irinel Cobzeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dragonul and the DOBRA Light players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Dragonul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Cobzeanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Ernest Axinia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Ionițoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dragonul's zone, Mihnea Şumălan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Hârlab came out of the goal and Mihnea Şumălan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dragonul's Manole Hârlab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Şumălan in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Ernest Axinia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragonul's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Axinia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucian Ionițoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucian Ionițoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Axinia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dragonul eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
