After a rather tough play, Ripensia UVT's Aurelian Şiman got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ripensia UVT's zone, Sebastian Zbârnea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Uduleanu came out of the goal and Sebastian Zbârnea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sebastian Zbârnea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciprian Buhăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Uduleanu having to interfere. In the 12th minute Sebastian Zbârnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Uduleanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Șişman in the 14th minute of play forced Ripensia UVT's goalkeeper Emanuel Uduleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgil Levința hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Damian Encuțoiu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Damian Encuțoiu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AC Milan booed when Ripensia UVT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Cornea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Ripensia UVT got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Cornea. 31 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Hojbota came free, but Cazimir Hulubei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Calistrat Hojbota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matei Stana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cazimir Hulubei came out and tried to block the shot, but Matei Stana slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. When Calistrat Hojbota came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ripensia UVT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calistrat Hojbota couldn't finish the play. If Rareș Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC Milan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calistrat Hojbota was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Hojbota came free, but Cazimir Hulubei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Calistrat Hojbota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rareș Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Cazimir Hulubei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelian Şiman kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Emanuel Uduleanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciprian Buhăescu's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When Claudiu Gligor fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripensia UVT's protests and gave Claudiu Gligor a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ripensia UVT fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Emanuel Uduleanu, was totally fooled by AC Milan's Iurie Tatomir, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 72 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Zbârnea. Rareș Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cazimir Hulubei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Ripensia UVT got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Chiru. After 81 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Buhăescu. 85 minutes into the match, Ripensia UVT's goalkeeper Emanuel Uduleanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Zbârnea. AC Milan's Ciprian Buhăescu got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calistrat Hojbota in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cazimir Hulubei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Zbârnea got free with Emanuel Uduleanu in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciprian Buhăescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Uduleanu having to interfere. Ripensia UVT's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
