Olimpiu Chesaru was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Ripensia UVT got a freekick which was hit by Rareș Marin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Băncilă got free with Emanuel Uduleanu in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Calistrat Hojbota notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of DOBRA Light's Lucian Ionițoiu. Lucian Ionițoiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mihnea Şumălan was the one to do the kick off. If Mihnea Şumălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucrețiu Băncilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Emanuel Uduleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ripensia UVT's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
