Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ernest Axinia made the kick off which started today's match. Manole Hârlab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Bărbuceanu in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute Ernest Axinia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Cârstoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Luminis's Manole Hârlab threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ştefan Bărbuceanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 15th minute, Vintilă Drogoreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Troncotă in the 18th minute of play forced Luminis's goalkeeper Fabian Cârstoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 25th minute, when Luminis's Iustin Arseanu after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Manole Hârlab in Dragonul's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. 28 minutes into the match, Dragonul's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Drogoreanu came free, but Manole Hârlab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Luminis's Fabian Chiriac got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Manole Hârlab made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Vintilă Drogoreanu sent off a good shot on target. Vintilă Drogoreanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manole Hârlab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Felix Calciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luminis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Calciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vintilă Drogoreanus short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Manole Hârlab to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Fabian Cârstoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilian Troncotă in the 58th minute. Marcel Hortopan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes Luminis got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Chiriac. 72 minutes into the match, Emilian Troncotă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Cârstoiu. Luminis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilian Troncotă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 79th match minute, Dragonul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Hortopan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dragonul's zone, Ştefan Bărbuceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Hârlab came out of the goal and Ştefan Bărbuceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Hortopan hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Sandu Timofte was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ştefan Bărbuceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Hârlab having to interfere.
