After 3 played minutes VfB Stuttgart got a freekick which was hit by Florin Jianu. 7 minutes into the match, DOBRA Light's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Jianu came free, but Lucian Ionițoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ştefan Bălăiță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihnea Şumălan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Ciurea having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in VfB Stuttgart's zone, Lucrețiu Băncilă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Ciurea came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Băncilă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Şumălan in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Ciurea saved VfB Stuttgart from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliodor Buzatu during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ştefan Bălăiță in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucian Ionițoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paul Ciurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Şumălan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. David Plopeanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucian Ionițoiu. DOBRA Light's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Florin Jianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 minutes, David Plopeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VfB Stuttgart and the DOBRA Light players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, David Plopeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes in the game Horia Jupân after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Paul Ciurea. A very good opportunity. Paul Ciurea made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Lucrețiu Băncilă sent off a good shot on target.

With a little luck, DOBRA Light's Lucian Ionițoiu got control of the ball when Florin Jianu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florin Jianu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucian Ionițoiu having to make a save. Lucian Ionițoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Bălăiță, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes in the game, Florin Jianu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lucian Ionițoiu having to interfere. With a little luck, DOBRA Light's Lucian Ionițoiu got control of the ball when Florin Jianu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florin Jianu got free with Lucian Ionițoiu in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mihnea Şumălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucian Ionițoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florin Jianu in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Bălăiță in the 83rd minute of play forced DOBRA Light's goalkeeper Lucian Ionițoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Băncilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lucrețiu Băncilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Mihnea Şumălan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DOBRA Light's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihnea Şumălan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Hurmuzescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Ciurea. VfB Stuttgart's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. VfB Stuttgart had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
