After a defensive mix-up in SErioXul's zone, Costin Şunda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornel Grozăvescu came out of the goal and Costin Şunda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Dragheasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matei Manciu to maneuver through the defense. Gică Iulian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Coșeriu in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the game, SErioXul's Iurie Coșeriu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gică Iulian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of SErioXul booed when Dragheasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Mihai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gică Iulian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Coșeriu in the 28th minute. If Nistor Caciulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Iulian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Rânceanu in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Costin Şunda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragheasa's supporters rose to their feet, but Costin Şunda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Grozăvescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Dragheasa's Dan Mihai got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute of the match, Iurie Coșeriu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gică Iulian was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Costin Şunda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragheasa's supporters rose to their feet, but Costin Şunda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dragheasa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iurie Coșeriu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to Dragheasa getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Octav Bușcu hit a great ball. When SErioXul's Remus Rânceanu in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dragheasa's goalie prevented a goal. Cornel Grozăvescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costin Şunda went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Gică Iulian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Coșeriu in the 97th minute of play. The SErioXul players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
