If Vintilă Drogoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Toader Hâncu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luminis's protests and gave Toader Hâncu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Luminis getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Toader Hâncu hit a great ball. Jigoreasa's Mihnea Ciobanu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Luminis's Costel Brădescu got a free kick in the 20th minute. Emanuel Luțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Bărbuceanu in the 24th minute of the match. Emanuel Luțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Drogoreanu in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Calciu during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felix Calciu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Vintilă Drogoreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jigoreasa's Emanuel Luțu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aurel Nițu lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jigoreasa! In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Luminis. Sandu Timofte stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emanuel Luțu. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Baldazar made a kick off. Ştefan Bărbuceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Cârstoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Baldazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jigoreasa's Emanuel Luțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Bărbuceanu in the 59th minute of play. Felix Calciu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Luminis's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Baldazar came free, but Fabian Cârstoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vintilă Drogoreanu succeeded in the game's 77th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Vintilă Drogoreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Emanuel Luțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Luminis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
