Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ştefan Bălăiță made the kick off and thus started the match. If Costin Şunda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dragheasa's Gică Iulian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Jianu in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Matei Manciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nistor Caciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Dragheasa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nistor Caciulescu couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, VfB Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Stoica to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Caciulescu got free with Paul Ciurea in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Dragheasa's Nistor Caciulescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Bălăiță in the 27th minute of play forced Dragheasa's goalkeeper Gică Iulian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Ştefan Bălăiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gică Iulian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Caciulescu in the 33rd minute of play forced VfB Stuttgart's goalkeeper Paul Ciurea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costin Şunda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in VfB Stuttgart's zone, Costin Şunda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Ciurea came out of the goal and Costin Şunda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florin Jianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute of the match Andrei Potopea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gică Iulian skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Costin Şunda made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, VfB Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliodor Poplăcan to maneuver through the defense. Costin Şunda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Ciurea having to interfere. The supporters of VfB Stuttgart booed when Dragheasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octav Bușcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Dragheasa's Octav Bușcu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute, Nistor Caciulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gică Iulian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florin Jianu in the 69th minute. Matei Manciu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Dragheasa's Gică Iulian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Bălăiță in the 73rd minute of play. Paul Ciurea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costin Şunda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Bălăiță in the 81st minute of play forced Dragheasa's goalkeeper Gică Iulian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Pompiliu Frențiu from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Gică Iulian's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 89th minute Costin Şunda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ciurea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eliodor Poplăcan fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VfB Stuttgart's protests and gave Eliodor Poplăcan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Eliodor Poplăcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Anisie hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dragheasa fully deserved thier win.
