Luminis's Fabian Cârstoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Luminis from getting a goal against them. Niculae Mohora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Drogoreanu in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Luminis's zone, Mihnea Caba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Cârstoiu came out of the goal and Mihnea Caba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niculae Mohora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Bărbuceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fundoia's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Bădiliță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Cârstoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Bărbuceanu in the 53rd minute of play forced Fundoia's goalkeeper Niculae Mohora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Caba in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Cârstoiu saved Luminis from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihnea Caba in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Cârstoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Cârstoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Caba in the 79th minute of play. If Mihnea Caba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Ştefan Bărbuceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Mohora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Chiriac during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Luminis getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Fabian Chiriac hit a great ball. If Basarab Ifrim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute.
