When Basarab Ifrim fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fundoia's protests and gave Basarab Ifrim a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fundoia getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Basarab Ifrim hit a great ball. If Mihnea Caba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24thth minute of the game Mihnea Caba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SErioXul's Cornel Grozăvescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SErioXul's zone, Leontin Humă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornel Grozăvescu came out of the goal and Leontin Humă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornel Grozăvescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Caba, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 minutes of play, Fundoia's Leontin Humă made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornel Grozăvescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Humă in the 46th minute of play forced SErioXul's goalkeeper Cornel Grozăvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihnea Caba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornel Grozăvescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remus Rânceanu to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cristi Gogea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leontin Humă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Humă couldn't finish the play. Cristi Gogea struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cornel Grozăvescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fundoia. Fundoia played a much better game than SErioXul and deserved their victory. The SErioXul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
