Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiberiu Carp started the match with the kick off. FC Burebista's Petre Mărăscu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Calciu in the 3rd minute of play. In the 3rd minute, Panait Armeanca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cezar Vârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Petre Mărăscu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, ASC Dacia Unirea Braila's goalkeeper Dorel Bivolaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alin Olăroiu. A collision led to FC Burebista getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Basarab Floruțiu hit a great ball. Teodor Blidaru scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Mărăscu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiberiu Carp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alin Olăroiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorel Bivolaru having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cezar Vârlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. ASC Dacia Unirea Braila's supporters rose to their feet, but Cezar Vârlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Mărăscu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Teodor Blidaru notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Burebista's Petre Mărăscu. Petre Mărăscu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Costel Calciu kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Burebista's Basarab Floruțiu tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Cezar Vârlan made the kick off in the second half. Dorel Bivolaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Olăroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petre Mărăscu came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by ASC Dacia Unirea Braila's Teodor Blidaru. But to his dismay, Teodor Blidaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Alin Olăroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Dorel Bivolaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cezar Vârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodor Blidaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Petre Mărăscu made a huge save. Teodor Blidaru came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Petre Mărăscu could save by the left post. Petre Mărăscu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Vârlan in the 74th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Cezar Vârlan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petre Mărăscu. Cezar Vârlan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Teodor Blidaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 minutes FC Burebista's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ionel Oancea who took care of the corner kick.
