Spectators: 7393 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 70) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nechifor Cozaru started the match with the kick off. Răzvan Rădvan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Arapașu's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 10th minute Nechifor Cozaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Zogreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Steagu's Vasile Pociu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Răzvan Rădvan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Anton Arapașu struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Răzvan Rădvan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steagu. Răzvan Rădvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Arapașu in the 22nd minute of the match. Basarab Zogreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nechifor Cozaru in the 33rd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, FC SOFERU BAIA MAREE's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Arapașu came free, but Răzvan Rădvan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasile Pociu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dacian Țepeluș kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Răduța in the 56th minute of play forced Steagu's goalkeeper Basarab Zogreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Țepeluș hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Emil Olteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Cristinel Pomuț managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. If Nechifor Cozaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Nechifor Cozaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC SOFERU BAIA MAREE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sever Spânu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Basarab Zogreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nechifor Cozaru in the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match, Anton Arapașu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Răzvan Rădvan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in FC SOFERU BAIA MAREE's zone, Anton Arapașu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Răzvan Rădvan came out of the goal and Anton Arapașu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Răzvan Rădvan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Pociu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Zogreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nechifor Cozaru in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Steagu's Vasile Pociu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Răzvan Rădvan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
