Victor Suşu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Barcelona 1899 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! When Calistrat Molodețiu came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cotciul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calistrat Molodețiu couldn't finish the play. Pavel Dică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Suşu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calistrat Molodețiu in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Dică prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, Horea Tătaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Barcelona 1899's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cotciul the free kick. Calistrat Molodețiu took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavel Dică. Pavel Dică dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Victor Suşu scored 1-4 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavel Dică, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Marius Cristea succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. Cotciul's Calistrat Molodețiu got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Suşu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Dică having to make a save. 64 minutes into the match, Radu Tătăruşanu notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Cotciul's Sebastian Arotăriței. Sebastian Arotăriței was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Arotăriței showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Tătăruşanu in the 76th minute of the match. Victor Suşu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavel Dică having to make a save. 84 minutes into the match, Calistrat Molodețiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pavel Dică. FC Barcelona 1899's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calistrat Molodețiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-6. If Victor Suşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Barcelona 1899 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cotciul were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
