Ovidiu Bran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cazimir Vizitiu's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, FC RMR's Sever Jurăscu got a free kick in the 13th minute. Ovidiu Ciolpan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Sterescu in the 16th minute. Iordache Țâpu lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Peticei getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Iordache Țâpu hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Peticei's goalkeeper Ovidiu Ciolpan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Sterescu. After 23 played minutes FC RMR got a freekick which was hit by Costel Mitruț. Ovidiu Bran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Miroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Sterescu got free with Ovidiu Ciolpan in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Basarab Bulcă struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ovidiu Bran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peticei. Costel Mitruț got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Andrei Tunar. Andrei Tunar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Ciolpan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Cazimir Vizitiu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Basarab Bulcă struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ovidiu Bran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peticei. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrei Tunar was the one to do the kick off. If Denis Sterescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, FC RMR's Octav Tăbăcaru got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ovidiu Ciolpan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Sterescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 66 minutes into the game, FC RMR's Denis Sterescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidiu Ciolpan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 81 played minutes Peticei got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Milcu. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Andrei Tunar managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC RMR's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Tunar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Ciolpan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Milcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peticei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC RMR the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peticei fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! In the 88th minute, Vlad Encea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Peticei's zone, Victor Cazimir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Ciolpan came out of the goal and Victor Cazimir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Peticei's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Sterescu came free, but Ovidiu Ciolpan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Sterescu in the 94th minute of play forced Peticei's goalkeeper Ovidiu Ciolpan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC RMR walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
