Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dragoş Ceaușescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Manuel Josan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nichifor Apostolescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Jiul Petrosani's zone, Dragoş Ceaușescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mădălin Ecobescu came out of the goal and Dragoş Ceaușescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mădălin Ecobescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Tănăsie in the 11th minute of the match. Dragoş Ceaușescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC Jiul Petrosani's Mădălin Ecobescu got control of the ball when Marcu Tănăsie tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 played minutes FC Jiul Petrosani got a freekick which was hit by Radu Scorţea. Radu Scorţea hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Nechifor Isăilă from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Mădălin Ecobescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 32 minutes into the match, FC Jiul Petrosani's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Ceaușescu came free, but Mădălin Ecobescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcu Tănăsie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mădălin Ecobescu having to interfere. Marcu Tănăsie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mădălin Ecobescu made a huge save. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Josan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hasameli's Dragoş Ceaușescu got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 57 minutes, Marcu Tănăsie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hasameli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Tănăsie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the FC Jiul Petrosani defense, Dragoş Ceaușescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mădălin Ecobescu. The FC Jiul Petrosani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mădălin Ecobescu should have stopped the shot. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Jiul Petrosani's goalkeeper Mădălin Ecobescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Ceaușescu in the 70th minute of play forced FC Jiul Petrosani's goalkeeper Mădălin Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dragoş Ceaușescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mădălin Ecobescu was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 90th minute Marcu Tănăsie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mădălin Ecobescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Dragoş Ceaușescu in the 92nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Beraru in the 94th minute of play forced FC Jiul Petrosani's goalkeeper Mădălin Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
