With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iurie Luncaniță in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristide Armeanca saved FC Timisoara from getting behind. 17 minutes into the game, Adrian Simionică cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dragoş Cocârlă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Iurie Luncaniță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosmin Diaconu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aristide Armeanca. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. Adrian Simionică might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dragoş Cocârlă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Simionică ran back to his position shaking his head. Adrian Simionică's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dragoş Cocârlă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Aristide Armeanca made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Iurie Luncaniță sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Simionică to make the kick off. Gigi Aaxiniei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dragoş Cocârlă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes YR☆ VINTAGE TEAM BERCENI got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Mihaiu. Aristide Armeanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Diaconu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosmin Diaconu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
