Andrei Tunar might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxim Nedelcea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrei Tunar ran back to his position shaking his head. Denis Sterescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Nedelcea having to interfere. If Andrei Tunar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrei Tunar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ovidiu Bran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Burdujan, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, -PSC- Kosarom S.A's Horia Zăvoianu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by -PSC- Kosarom S.A's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victor Cazimir was slow to take the kick. During this time FC RMR's players had a chance to rest. After the first half FC RMR were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrei Tunar to strike the kick off in the second half. Maxim Nedelcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Sterescu in the 52nd minute of the match. Denis Sterescu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Maxim Nedelcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Tunar, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Andrei Tunar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxim Nedelcea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Sever Jurăscu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Nedelcea having to interfere. Octav Tăbăcaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim Nedelcea having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Costică Capșuneanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -PSC- Kosarom S.A and the FC RMR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute, Costică Capșuneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
