Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Manuel Josan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Ciolpan. Peticei's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Josan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Cazimir Vizitiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mădălin Ecobescu was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After 12 minutes of play, FC Jiul Petrosani's Radu Scorţea made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidiu Ciolpan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 17 minutes into the match, Peticei's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Josan came free, but Ovidiu Ciolpan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustin Vulcănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Radu Mironescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Ciolpan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Peticei defense, Radu Scorţea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Ciolpan. The Peticei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Ciolpan should have stopped the shot. Ovidiu Ciolpan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Mironescu in the 30th minute of play. After 35 played minutes FC Jiul Petrosani got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Dersidan. 37 minutes into the match, Peticei's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Mironescu came free, but Ovidiu Ciolpan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Radu Scorţea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Ciolpan was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After having played for 41 minutes, Cazimir Vizitiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peticei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Vizitiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciprian Stoiculescu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cazimir Vizitiu got free with Mădălin Ecobescu in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Josan made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Cazimir Vizitiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Jiul Petrosani's Mădălin Ecobescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Radu Mironescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Jiul Petrosani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Ovidiu Ciolpan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Scorţea, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Mădălin Dersidan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ovidiu Ciolpan. Mădălin Dersidan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Josan in the 72nd minute of play forced Peticei's goalkeeper Ovidiu Ciolpan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Ciolpan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Josan in the 78th minute of play. Augustin Vulcănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mădălin Ecobescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augustin Vulcănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Peticei's Ovidiu Ciolpan got control of the ball when Radu Scorţea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mădălin Ecobescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cazimir Vizitiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Peticei fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Peticei's Cazimir Vizitiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Jiul Petrosani's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
