The supporters of FC RMR booed when FC Jiul Petrosani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radu Mironescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Jiul Petrosani's goalkeeper Mădălin Ecobescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Josan was the one to do the kick off. Andrei Bârsan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mădălin Ecobescu having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC RMR fully deserved thier win.
