In the 18th minute Manuel Drăghici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Ciolpan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Peticei's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Luncaniță came free, but Ovidiu Ciolpan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cazimir Vizitiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Milcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Peticei's Claudiu Miroiu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cazimir Vizitiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ferdinand Milcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Cosmin Diaconu made the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Ciolpan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Luncaniță in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Iordache Țâpu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Marcel Minda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Ciolpan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Augustin Vulcănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peticei's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Vulcănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dragoş Cocârlă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cazimir Vizitiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dragoş Cocârlă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
