Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dumitru Pârvuță to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Petrică Ciolacu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iulian Calomfirescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Sararestii's Iulian Calomfirescu got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mircea Apostolescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iulian Calomfirescu's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Marcel Encica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Pârvuță in the 74th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Ulea got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Ciolacu. After 77 minutes of play, Sararestii's Ferdinand Molodețiu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mircea Apostolescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferdinand Molodețiu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Mircea Apostolescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 83 minutes into the match, Ulea's goalkeeper Mircea Apostolescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinand Molodețiu. In the 85th minute of the match Felix Ciolac sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mircea Apostolescu skillfully saved the ball. Dan Bărbuceanu got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 88 minutes into the game, one of Sararestii:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sararestii's Marcel Encica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Pârvuță in the 97th minute of play. The Sararestii supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sararestii would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
