Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dumitru Pârvuță made the kick off and thus started the match. Mircea Apostolescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Buta in the 3rd minute of the match. Mircea Apostolescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristide Nicolaescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aron Buta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ulea's zone, Aron Buta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Apostolescu came out of the goal and Aron Buta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristide Nicolaescu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mircea Apostolescu saved Ulea from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Aron Buta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Petrică Ciolacu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ploscuteni defense, Aristide Vladimirescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ion Savin. The Ploscuteni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ion Savin should have stopped the shot. After 29 played minutes Ulea got a freekick which was hit by Matei Enescu. In the 30th minute of the match Dorin Comăneci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mircea Apostolescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Aron Buta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ploscuteni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Buta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Ilie Măgură was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ploscuteni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ulea the free kick. Aristide Vladimirescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Savin having to interfere. Aristide Vladimirescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aron Buta to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Dumitru Pârvuță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Pârvuță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dumitru Pârvuță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ion Savin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Lalescu charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iulian Lalescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute Aron Buta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Apostolescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dumitru Pârvuță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ploscuteni getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ilie Măgură hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Aristide Nicolaescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulea's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
