Constantin Basarab came out of the goal and Eduard Calini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Jiul Petrosani 1919 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Gâdea to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Gică Frântu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jiul Petrosani 1919's Constantin Basarab didn't even have to move. Silviu Gâdea kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Eduard Şumălan came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Zelau fans jumped to their feet. Zelau's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Şumălan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantin Basarab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot by Tony Manerov from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Daniel Sterescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vlad Mihuț charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vlad Mihuț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, Zelau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Mihuț to maneuver through the defense. Zelau's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
