Spectators: 7649 (Terracing: 5738, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aron Brad started the match with the kick off. The supporters of C.S. Lia Herghe booed when Corcodel CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Ghionea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aron Brad in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Nițu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C.S. Lia Herghe's Augustin Gurzău got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aron Brad had several of the Corcodel CSM's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sandu Nițu as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Dinu Ciulei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Aron Brad in the 21st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Augustin Gurzău managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S. Lia Herghe's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Gurzău was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandu Nițu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calistrat Bociort charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calistrat Bociort the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Corcodel CSM got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Bociort. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Sandu Nițu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sandu Nițu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Brad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.S. Lia Herghe's David Buzoianu was substituted for Augustin Gurzău. In the 40th minute, Isac Pâslaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Vulpe hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Brad in the 54th minute of play forced Corcodel CSM's goalkeeper Sandu Nițu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandu Nițu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Brad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Buzoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Calistrat Bociort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Corcodel CSM getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Isac Pâslaru hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match Mihail Gherghe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandu Nițu skillfully saved the ball. Aron Brad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandu Nițu having to interfere. Isac Pâslaru was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 76 played minutes Corcodel CSM got a freekick which was hit by Isac Pâslaru. Aron Brad struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Sandu Nițu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.S. Lia Herghe. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corcodel CSM's goalkeeper Sandu Nițu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sandu Nițu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Brad's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute, David Buzoianu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandu Nițu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. David Buzoianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Buzoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandu Nițu having to interfere. Corcodel CSM's Sandu Nițu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Buzoianu in the 95th minute of play. C.S. Lia Herghe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
