Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Ioan Drâmbă took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gigi Groșan. Supanu AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gigi Groșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Măgherușan, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th match minute, Hotesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Nanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Iordache Maleș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Groșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordache Maleș in the 14th minute of play forced Supanu AC's goalkeeper Gigi Groșan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Eugen Buzatu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Supanu AC and the Hotesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eugen Buzatu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Supanu AC's Gigi Groșan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Măgherușan in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Supanu AC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Fabian Prelipceanu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Supanu AC's zone, Pavel Măgherușan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Groșan came out of the goal and Pavel Măgherușan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iordache Maleș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Groșan having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Supanu AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Mercea to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Supanu AC's Fabian Prelipceanu got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Iordache Maleș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iordache Maleș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Hotesti were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iordache Maleș to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Iordache Maleș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Groșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Măgherușan struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gigi Groșan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hotesti. Gigi Groșan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iordache Maleș in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordache Maleș in the 60th minute of play forced Supanu AC's goalkeeper Gigi Groșan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Iordache Maleș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hotesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iordache Maleș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pavel Măgherușan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Groșan having to interfere. When Hotesti's Iordache Maleș in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Supanu AC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Supanu AC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eugen Buzatu hit a great ball. Pavel Măgherușan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. In the 86th minute, Iordache Maleș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pavel Măgherușan might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigi Groșan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Măgherușan ran back to his position shaking his head. Iordache Maleș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Groșan having to interfere. Fabian Prelipceanu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Pavel Măgherușan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hotesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Măgherușan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigi Groșan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hotesti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
