The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ion Stoicescu in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandu Nițu saved Corcodel CSM from getting behind. Ionică Tecău hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Isac Pâslaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Isac Pâslaru reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eliodor Ghionescu. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Luțu in the 24th minute of play forced Corcodel CSM's goalkeeper Sandu Nițu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Dumitru Luțu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARADI VASAS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Luțu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corcodel CSM's Isac Pâslaru got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Nechifor Lupeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandru Tarcea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eliodor Ghionescu. ARADI VASAS FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, ARADI VASAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Giurcă to maneuver through the defense. If Isac Pâslaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandu Ghionea got free with Eliodor Ghionescu in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, ARADI VASAS FC's Nechifor Lupeanu got a free kick in the 41st minute. Isac Pâslaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corcodel CSM's Sandu Ghionea got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliodor Ghionescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Pâslaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dumitru Luțu made the kick off in the second half. Ion Stoicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Pâslaru couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd match minute, Corcodel CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Floricel to maneuver through the defense. Sandu Nițu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ion Stoicescu in the 86th minute. Sandu Nițu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Luțu in the 87th minute of play. Ion Stoicescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gelu Chivulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandu Nițu. Corcodel CSM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Corcodel CSM had won after a very even match.
