The tension between the Corcodel CSM and the SS Lazio Sibiu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Corcodel CSM's Calistrat Bociort got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, SS Lazio Sibiu's Ferit Serir broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sandu Nițu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Arseanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Alex Agudins short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Sandu Nițu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Corcodel CSM's Calistrat Bociort got a free kick in the 28th minute. Sandu Nițu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Arseanu in the 41st minute of play. Alex Agudin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sandu Nițu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isac Pâslaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Sandu Ghionea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferid İzgü made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Ghionea in the 55th minute. Sandu Nițu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Agudin in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelian Arseanu in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Nițu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Corcodel CSM booed when SS Lazio Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurel Ţurlău didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isac Pâslaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
