Spectators: 7637 (Terracing: 5729, Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dumitru Luțu started the match with the kick off. Eliodor Ghionescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Brad in the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the ARADI VASAS FC defense, Aron Brad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliodor Ghionescu. The ARADI VASAS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliodor Ghionescu should have stopped the shot. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, C.S. Lia Herghe's Augustin Gurzău got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eliodor Ghionescu. In the 17th minute, Ion Stoicescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Aron Brad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliodor Ghionescu. Aron Brad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aron Brad in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliodor Ghionescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliodor Ghionescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Brad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aron Brad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C.S. Lia Herghe's Aron Brad got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliodor Ghionescu made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Augustin Gurzău sent off a good shot on target. Augustin Gurzăus short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Eliodor Ghionescu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Aron Brad managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S. Lia Herghe's supporters rose to their feet, but Aron Brad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliodor Ghionescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliodor Ghionescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Brad's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Augustin Gurzău fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliodor Ghionescu having to interfere. C.S. Lia Herghe's David Buzoianu was substituted for Augustin Gurzău. 43 minutes into the match, ARADI VASAS FC's goalkeeper Eliodor Ghionescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Buzoianu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aron Brad in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliodor Ghionescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aron Brad made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes ARADI VASAS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastian Vulpe who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on C.S. Lia Herghe's corner Sebastian Vulpe fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eliodor Ghionescu quite easily take care of the ball. Nechifor Lupeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Eliodor Ghionescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Brad's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ARADI VASAS FC's zone, Aron Brad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliodor Ghionescu came out of the goal and Aron Brad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ARADI VASAS FC's Marius Giurcă got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Aron Brad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliodor Ghionescu was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Ion Stoicescu's late challenge caught a C.S. Lia Herghe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Stoicescu helped the player get up and apologised. Ion Stoicescu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. David Buzoianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eliodor Ghionescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Buzoianu in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliodor Ghionescu saved ARADI VASAS FC from getting behind. Teodor Baldu's late challenge caught a ARADI VASAS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Baldu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, C.S. Lia Herghe's Teodor Baldu got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience was convinced that Aron Brad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliodor Ghionescu was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Eliodor Ghionescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Brad's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The supporters of C.S. Lia Herghe booed when ARADI VASAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nechifor Lupeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Brad in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliodor Ghionescu saved ARADI VASAS FC from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the C.S. Lia Herghe players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
