Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eugen Cristoiu made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Milan's Costin Chesaru got control of the ball when Ferdinand Barbosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 4 played minutes Milan got a freekick which was hit by Petruț Chirea. Leonard Petrean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Chesaru having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Milan got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Hațegan. If Leonard Petrean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Milan's Eugen Cristoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Márquez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ferdinand Barbosu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Petrean in the 38th minute of play forced Milan's goalkeeper Costin Chesaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ferdinand Barbosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonard Petrean to make the kick off. Costin Chesaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Petrean in the 52nd minute of play. Costin Chesaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Petrean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costin Chesaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Petrean in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Eugen Cristoiu notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Motaenii's Rafael Márquez. Rafael Márquez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th match minute, Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Bitănescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Denis Corcoveanu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Milan's Costin Chesaru didn't even have to move. Leonard Petrean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Costin Chesaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinand Barbosu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Márquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisc Iorga in the 77th minute. A collision led to Milan getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cornel Bitănescu hit a great ball. With a little luck, Motaenii's Rafael Márquez got control of the ball when Francisc Iorga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafael Márquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Cristoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Costin Chesaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Petrean in the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Francisc Iorga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisc Iorga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Márquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Milan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
