When Ferdinand Barbosu fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motaenii's protests and gave Ferdinand Barbosu a yellow card for diving instead. Ferdinand Barbosu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Racari's zone, Pompiliu Petrean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Zdrelea came out of the goal and Pompiliu Petrean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciprian Vişan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Motaenii's Ferdinand Barbosu got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Motaenii getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Panait Râznicu hit a great ball. Octav Dijmărescu's late challenge caught a Fc Racari's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Dijmărescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Motaenii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Dijmărescu to maneuver through the defense. Iurie Ciorăscu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Marian Badea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Marian Badea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Márquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Barbosu struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Silviu Zdrelea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motaenii. Leonard Petrean might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silviu Zdrelea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Petrean ran back to his position shaking his head. When Nicolae Levința came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Motaenii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolae Levința couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Fc Racari's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Petrean came free, but Silviu Zdrelea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corneliu Dejeu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Nicolae Chitoran hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fc Racari getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nicu Basarab hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Denis Corcoveanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silviu Zdrelea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Silviu Zdrelea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinand Barbosu in the 55th minute. After 59 minutes of play, Fc Racari's Liviu Mihuleac made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Márquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute, Alin Tender got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Leonard Petrean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motaenii's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Petrean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silviu Zdrelea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Racari's zone, Leonard Petrean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Zdrelea came out of the goal and Leonard Petrean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nicolae Levința had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviu Zdrelea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Petrean, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Ferdinand Barbosu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Zdrelea having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Fc Racari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Vişan to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Fc Racari's Silviu Zdrelea got control of the ball when Ferdinand Barbosu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdinand Barbosu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Silviu Zdrelea firmly grabbed it by the left post. Motaenii were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Fc Racari to leave the ground with a draw.
