Spectators: 7598 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when David Ispirescu kicked off to start the match. After 5 minutes of play, gcg's Constantin Avacariței made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sorin Cismaș was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the match, gcg's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Ciocârlan came free, but Radu Istrate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vintilă Horodincă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radu Istrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Horodincă in the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vintilă Horodincă in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Istrate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Ion Ciocârlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vintilă Horodincă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, one of gcg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for gcg. Ionică Pârvulescu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 31 played minutes gcg got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Aldescu. After 32 played minutes, Runcurel CSS's Ionică Pârvulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Radu Istrate came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Runcurel CSS reached it. Radu Istrate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Horodincă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ion Ciocârlan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Radu Istrate having to make a save. In the 38th match minute, gcg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Pescaru to maneuver through the defense. Radu Istrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Ciocârlan in the 39th minute of the match. Ion Ciocârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Radu Istrate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corneliu Aldescu during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes gcg got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Aldescu. In the 48th minute David Ispirescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Cismaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Cristinel Hirean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sorin Cismaș was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Radu Istrate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ion Ciocârlan's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Ionică Mălaimare recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ion Ciocârlan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Radu Istrate when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 67 minutes into the game, Ionică Mălaimare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Runcurel CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave gcg the free kick. 71 minutes into the match, gcg's goalkeeper Radu Istrate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ion Ciocârlan. Radu Istrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Horodincă in the 76th minute of the match. Martin Pârvulescu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, gcg's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Horodincă came free, but Radu Istrate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Ispirescu in the 81st minute of play forced Runcurel CSS's goalkeeper Sorin Cismaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Runcurel CSS's Vintilă Horodincă dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 94 minutes into the match, Runcurel CSS's Vintilă Horodincă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radu Istrate narrowly saved just below the crossbar. gcg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Runcurel CSS for a fine match.
