Spectators: 7488 (Terracing: 5617, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when David Ispirescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. A hard shot 5 in the game by Valentin Văcaru from a close distance when the talented Radu Istrate managed to make a qualified save. gcg's players were relieved. Radu Istrate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Vasiliu in the 7th minute of play. Ionel Pescaru hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. David Ispirescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iulian Urducea having to make a save. David Ispirescu took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iulian Urducea. Iulian Urducea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 26th minute Ciprian Vasiliu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Istrate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Ispirescu in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Urducea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. gcg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Valentin Văcaru scored to the left of an out of position Radu Istrate, making the score, 1-1. Ciprian Vasiliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Radu Istrate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valentin Văcaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Martin Pârvulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in gcg's zone, Ciprian Vasiliu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Istrate came out of the goal and Ciprian Vasiliu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciprian Vasiliu was the one to do the kick off. Iulian Urducea didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. F.C. BUDENI's Iulian Urducea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. BUDENI from getting a goal against them. Constantin Avacariței struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Iulian Urducea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for gcg. Robert Lopatnicu's late challenge caught a gcg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Lopatnicu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Robert Lopatnicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radu Istrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Văcaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, F.C. BUDENI's goalkeeper Iulian Urducea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantin Avacariței. 1-3 became the score in the 79th minute when Constantin Avacariței elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Iulian Urducea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Ispirescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciprian Vasiliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radu Istrate having to interfere. Ciprian Vasiliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The gcg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing gcg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
