The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Răzvan Mitruț made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Firu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Ion Ciocârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Runcurel CSS's Ionică Pârvulescu got a free kick in the 59th minute. Petru Hâldan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Sorin Cismaș made a huge save. Ionică Mălaimare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Corneliu Vuia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vintilă Horodincă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corneliu Vuia was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Alin Ţugui hit a great ball. Corneliu Vuia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vintilă Horodincă, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Ion Ciocârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vintilă Horodincă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Runcurel CSS's Vintilă Horodincă in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galaxy Lupeni's goalie prevented a goal. 90 minutes into the game, Runcurel CSS's Vintilă Horodincă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corneliu Vuia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ion Ciocârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Corneliu Vuia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Galaxy Lupeni defense, Vintilă Horodincă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corneliu Vuia. The Galaxy Lupeni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corneliu Vuia should have stopped the shot.
