Vali Ozon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Manciulea having to interfere. Remus Manciulea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petre Lucrețiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Soca got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Encioiu. Sabin Trăiloiu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Remus Manciulea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Ozon in the 25th minute of play. Soca's Remus Manciulea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Voinescu in the 27th minute of play. Remus Manciulea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Bunescu in the 28th minute of the match. Ovidiu Zorlescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Ciocan having to interfere. Emilian Ciocan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Nedelea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Ciocan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Patars AS's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Zorlescu came free, but Emilian Ciocan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Gheară got free with Emilian Ciocan in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidiu Zorlescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Ovidiu Zorlescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Ciocan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Patars AS's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Baicu came free, but Emilian Ciocan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Zorlescu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Emilian Ciocan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soca. After having played for 59 minutes, Tudor Gheară managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tudor Gheară was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilian Ciocan came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Soca's Ovidiu Zorlescu. But to his dismay, Ovidiu Zorlescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 67 minutes into the game, Narcis Pavel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patars AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soca the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Patars AS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Manuel Chițan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Emilian Ciocan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidiu Zorlescu's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Remus Manciulea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vali Ozon, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Anton Voinescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Remus Manciulea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tudor Gheară fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Ciocan having to interfere. Ovidiu Zorlescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Voinescu got free with Remus Manciulea in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidiu Zorlescu in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Ciocan saved Patars AS from getting behind. 97 minutes into the match, Patars AS's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Zorlescu came free, but Emilian Ciocan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th minute, Patars AS's Petre Lucrețiu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Although Soca had been in control for most of the match, Patars AS still came away with the win.
