When Mihail Balint fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacova's protests and gave Mihail Balint a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Cacova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Balint to maneuver through the defense. Cristinel Tărbac hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Dan Rogoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Teodoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Brăescu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Basarab Răduțu hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Dan Rogoz made a precise shot to the right of Calistrat Teodoreanu. FC Barcelona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Calistrat Teodoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavius Mihoc in the 30th minute of play. Calistrat Teodoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Rogoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dan Rogoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Chițu charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Chițu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Chițu. 39 minutes into the match, Flavius Mihoc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Calistrat Teodoreanu. FC Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavius Mihoc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Sandu Bîlbă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vlad Lupșoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Dan Rogoz came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cacova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Rogoz couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

With a little luck, FC Barcelona's Calistrat Teodoreanu got control of the ball when Dan Rogoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgil Gavruță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Flavius Mihoc in the 62nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Calistrat Teodoreanu kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. With a little luck, FC Barcelona's Calistrat Teodoreanu got control of the ball when Flavius Mihoc tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Flavius Mihoc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. In the 67th minute, Flavius Mihoc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cacova booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Gavruță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavius Mihoc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calistrat Teodoreanu having to make a save. In the 87th minute, Dan Rogoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Flavius Mihoc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cacova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4.
